Your hunting data belongs to you. Really.

Revier3D encrypts all ground content on your device before it reaches the server. The key stays exclusively with you, so nobody at our end can read your hunting data. This applies from the first minute and in every plan, Basic as well as Pro, at no extra charge.

Photos, notes, marker positions, your boundary: everything is encrypted before it reaches the server (XChaCha20-Poly1305).

Not even we can read it

The server stores only ciphertext. Your key never leaves the device, not even on order. Your ground password is at the same time the key: whoever has it can decrypt your data, without it nobody gets in, not even us.

The backup copies also contain only encrypted data. A theft of the server disks cannot read your ground.

The difference to every other hunting app: there your markers, photos and bag records sit in plain text on the vendor's server. According to our market research (August 2026), Revier3D is the only hunting app that encrypts your ground data so that not even we, the operator, can read it. Even under an official order there is nothing we could hand over, because there is nothing to read.

And the honest limits to it: Encryption that promises everything lies. There are places where our server sees more than ciphertext, for instance the place where your 3D model was built, and the rounded weather location. They are listed one by one and in full on the security page, each of them named. And the flip side of real encryption belongs here too: when you set up your ground, 12 recovery words are created in your browser. Once nobody holds the ground password and those words any more, the data is irretrievably lost, for us too.

Can I try everything for free?

Yes. After registering, the complete Basic feature set is available for 7 days with no payment details. Only the printable PDF map is unlocked with a subscription. If you start without an account, create one before the trial ends so the anonymous trial ground is not deleted later.

Can several of us use Basic together?

Yes. You share the ground link and the ground password and can use the entire Basic feature set together. Personal user accounts and graded permissions belong to Pro.

What is the difference between Basic and Pro?

Basic includes the complete 2D and 3D maps, the daily planner, trail camera analysis, the offline cache and the shared ground link. Pro adds personal users and roles as well as bookings, wardening, game meat, trophies, stock estimation, statistics in depth, the annual report and bookkeeping.

How do I share my hunting ground with colleagues?

You send the ground link and the shared ground password to your team. In Pro you can create personal users, roles, permissions and guest hunter logins instead.

Can I show my ground to somebody without giving away the password?

Yes. The ground management creates a time-limited read-only guest link for that (1 to 90 days). The guest sees the map, 3D and the planner but cannot change anything; the chat stays closed to them as well. The link can be revoked at any time, including for sessions already open.

Is there a chat in the ground?

Yes. The ground chat belongs to Basic and Pro and is end-to-end encrypted like all other ground data. Besides your messages, it can automatically report what happens in the ground, for example new markers, cull entries or fresh trail camera pictures.

Can anybody at your end read my hunting data?

The ground content is end-to-end encrypted on your device. Only you and your team hold the key. Technically necessary exceptions and the consequences of a lost password are explained in full on the security page.

Does it work out in the ground without reception?

Yes. In the installed app you can save the map, terrain, photos and ground data as an offline cache. Changes go into a queue and are sent on once there is reception again. Server synchronisation, live weather and new LTE trail camera pictures require internet access.

Is there an app for Android or iOS?

Yes. Revier3D is available as an app for Android (Google Play) and for iPhone and iPad (App Store); the download page also has the APK for devices without Google services and the programs for Windows, macOS and Linux. The app is a lean shell around the web app: same data, same state as on the PC.

What happens after I cancel?

After at least one paid month, the locally preloaded copy of your ground and trail camera pictures already imported remain on the device. Server synchronisation, sharing via the ground link, live weather and the automatic feed of new LTE pictures end with the subscription.

Where do the elevation, aerial and map data come from?

Revier3D uses the official or open sources available for each country and region. In Austria, the high-resolution elevation model comes from the BEV and the aerial imagery from basemap.at. Coverage and resolution can vary regionally outside Austria.

Can I import an existing boundary?

Yes. GPX, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON and shapefile ZIP are supported. Where suitable data is available, you can also adopt official hunting ground boundaries or parcels. Alternatively you draw the boundary freehand.

Does Revier3D work in my country?

The setup assistant is switched on for these countries: Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Shooting seasons, deadlines and cull planning exist only in Austria; in the other countries Revier3D works as a ground map. Which aerial imagery, elevation models, parcels and official hunting ground boundaries exist per country is listed on the countries page.

My hunting ground is not in Austria, Germany or Switzerland

We set up Revier3D for any region on request. Use the form on the countries page to tell us where your ground is: we check aerial imagery, terrain and parcels and get back to you within 5 working days with feasibility and price.

Do I need technical knowledge?

No. The assistant guides you from choosing country and boundary to the finished ground. An existing file can be imported directly.

Which LTE trail cameras work?

Any LTE camera that can forward pictures by e-mail can be connected, independent of the manufacturer. There is also a direct ICU connection. Photos, filters, heatmap, period comparison, top cameras and the PDF analysis report are included in Basic and Pro. The PDF summarises the analysis; it is not a bundle PDF of all original pictures.

Are new features on the way?

Yes. New features and improvements are added continuously. You can send wishes via the contact form.

What does early access mean?

The app is public and usable in everyday work, but under ongoing development. Basic and Pro can be booked; moving hunt planning is announced for 2027.

By a hunter, for hunters

Behind Revier3D there is no anonymous software house but one person: Ing. Thomas Postl from Pernitz in Lower Austria. A hunter himself since 2021 and a family man. And someone who worked through the existing hunting apps and found them too awkward, too confusing or simply not tailored to real use out on the ground.

So I built the tool myself. One that meets my own standards: the map, the 3D terrain and the admin side, as I really need them out on the ground. What you see here is what I use on my own ground. From the first boundary to the last high seat session.
